About the Journal

Ethics and Economics previously (ISSN 1639-1306), now Ethics, Economics and Common Goods is a journal that was created in 2003 to promote a discussion arising from the intersection between ethics and economics. At the time of its creation, it was supported by CREUM (Centre for Research in Ethics at the University of Montreal) and FREE (Fund for Research in Economic Ethics). After having been directed by Professor Jérôme Ballet of the Université de Bordeaux for fifteen years, its publication is now assumed by María Teresa Herrera Rendón-Nebel of the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla.

The Journal Ética, Economía y Bienes Comunes publishes contributions to the scientific debate that combine high academic rigor with originality of thought. In the face of the return of ideologies and the rise of new and unprecedented forms of neo-puritanism, the journal aims to be a space for rational, free, serious and open dialogue. All articles in the journal undergo a process of double anonymous peer review.
