Author Guidelines

Online Manuscript Submission-

All manuscripts should be submitted to EE&CGs Journal through the registration page. To this end, please sign up as a user on the website by choosing the Authors tab. Then log in and go to the Authors tab in the personal area. Click on “Start a new submission” and follow the steps indicated by the system.

The submitted manuscript should not have been published previously nor submitted for publication in any other journal. Prior to loading/sending a manuscript to the website, the editorial standards of the journal should be reviewed thoroughly and followed in its entirety.

Evaluation Process: The process consists of two main phases:

1) Screening by the journal’s editors.
2) Peer Review process.

The screening phase by the editors assesses the manuscript’s overall quality and whether it falls into the scope and profile of the EE&CGs Journal. It also reviews the compliance with the editorial standards of the EE&CGs journal. In case a manuscript does not match the overall quality, scope and profile of the journal, it will be returned to the author. In case a manuscript does not match the editorial standards of the EE&CGs Journal, the editors will ask the author to revise and resubmit the manuscript.

The peer review of the manuscript will be conducted by two experts through a double-blind evaluation process. The editors will select and send the manuscript to the reviewers, usually highly renowned academics with knowledge on the manuscript’s topic. In case of two negative reviews, the manuscript will be rejected. In case of one positive review and one negative, a third review of the manuscript will be asked and the results evaluated by the editorial committee to decide on an eventual publication of the manuscript. In case of two positive reviews, the publication process of the manuscript will proceed. In any case, the author shall attend the recommendations of the reviewers or give the reasons why he/she disagrees with any of them. The updated version of the manuscript shall be uploaded on the website. The associate editor may return the manuscript to the authors as many times as considered necessary until all its deficiencies are resolved and the manuscript is regarded as suitable for publication. During this process, the corresponding author may receive reminders to forward the corrected manuscript, with the aim of speeding up the revision process of the submitted manuscript.

When the associate editor considers that the manuscript is ready for publication, it will be edited, formatted and prepared for the online publication, with a pre-print version submitted for approval by the author.
