Prof. María Teresa Herrera Rendón Nebel (Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla, Editor Journal EE&CGs) Studied his bachelor's degree in economics at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 1995. Completed her PhD in Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Freiburg in 2003. She completed two research stays at the Von Hügel Institute, St. Edmund's College, University of Cambridge in 2002 and 2008. In 2011 she completed a postdoctoral stay at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. In 2007 she was appointed a member of the National System of Researchers in Mexico. She is also a member of the UAEM research evaluation committee and of the evaluation committee of the national graduate program (CONACYT). And member of the Human Development and Capability Association From 2003 to 2006, she worked as a professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana, León and Mexico City campuses, at the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey, Puebla and Toluca campuses, at the Universidad del Valle de Toluca and at the Universidad la Salle, León campus.
From 2006-2009, she worked as a full professor at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México. From 2011-2012, she worked as a professor at the Institut Catholique de Paris, in France. From 2014-2017, she was a professor at the HEG in Yverdon le Bain, in Switzerland. Since 2017, she has been a full professor at the Universidad Popular Autónoma de Puebla, in Mexico. She has more than 28 publications in refereed journals and publishers of international prestige. Her research interests are: poverty, technical progress and employment, and development.
